& Beach Combing
Five
kilometers down the road from Greenwich View Cottages, is Greenwich
National Park. This pristine natural area draws hikers to walk along
its well kept paths through grasslands, forests, sand dunes and along
it’s spectacular beach. Other hiking options in the area include the
Confederation Trail which is a mere two kilometers away from Greenwich
View Cottages or along one of the many tranquil side roads which wind
their way through forests and over streams. |

Within a
ten minute drive from Greenwich View Cottages, the Morell River winds
through the beautiful forests outlining its banks and into St. Peters
Bay. This river is known for some of the very best trout and salmon
fishing on the Island. Schooners Pond and several streams and creeks
lace their way through the countryside and are sure to provide the
novice or avid fisherman with a delicious trout meal. For those who
would rather look to the sea for a fishing adventure, there are many
deep sea and tuna fishing packages available in the vicinity. |

Cycling
From
Greenwich View Cottages, the Confederation Trail is only a few minutes
away by bike. This gravel trail winds it way from one end of the
island to the other through some of the loveliest countryside Prince
Edward Island has to offer. If you do not own a bike, you can rent one
by the Confederation Trail in St. Peters. For those wishing to do some
road biking. The area is laced with a network of quiet paved and dirt
roads that lead you on a scenic ride to the ocean and through the
surrounding forests and farmland. |

& Ceilidh
A night at
one of the local Ceilidh is sure to tickle your fancy. The whole
family can enjoy this fiddle playing, foot stomp’in tradition. It is
a great way to meet the locals who will graciously teach you the steps
to this sensational dance. Each week there are two Ceilidh held within
in a 15 minute drive from Greenwich View Cottages. |
